Arrival of BanglaWord revolutionised the way Bangla typing is done in Windows. Its success is largely based on its very simple typing method which is straight forward to learn. Despite not putting a single commercial advertisement, its popularity soared due to the recommendations of existing users and due to the reviews in Bangla news papers. Since its launch other typing system had been released, both free and commercial, but none offered then same standard of usability as BanglaWord.
